Small Group Training in Angus, ON

Get coached like a private client, split the cost with friends, and stay accountable together.

How Small Group Training Works

You bring 2-4 people. We design a program that fits everyone's goals. It's not a drop-in class where you follow along. It's personal training for a small crew. We watch your form, adjust the weights, and keep everyone moving at the right pace.

Sessions run 45-60 minutes. You'll warm up together, work through strength or conditioning circuits, and cool down. We modify exercises on the fly if someone's got a sore knee or wants to push harder. Everyone gets attention. Nobody gets lost in the crowd.

Most groups train 2-3 times a week. You book a standing time slot so it's locked in. We serve Angus and surrounding areas like Barrie and Alliston. If you want one-on-one attention instead, check out our One on One Personal Training option.

Why People Choose Group Over Solo Sessions

Cost. You're splitting the session fee, so it's way more affordable than private training. You still get a custom program and hands-on coaching. You just share the hour with people you actually like.

Accountability. It's harder to skip when three other people are counting on you. You show up because your crew's there. That consistency is what gets results. Plus, a little friendly competition doesn't hurt when someone's crushing their deadlift PR.

If your goal is focused Weight Loss Training or you're rehabbing an injury, solo sessions might make more sense. But if you want energy, camaraderie, and a coach who knows your name, small group training hits different.

What a Typical Session Looks Like

We start with a quick check-in. How's everyone feeling? Any tweaks or sore spots? Then we move into a dynamic warm-up. Mobility drills, activation work, nothing boring. You're ready to lift in five minutes.

The main block is where the work happens. Could be Strength Training circuits, kettlebell flows, sled pushes, or bodyweight conditioning. We program around the group's goals. If two people want to build muscle and one wants to lean out, we'll structure sets and rest periods to hit both. You're not doing random exercises. Everything has a purpose.

Cool-down is stretching and breathing. We talk about what worked, what felt hard, and what's coming next session. You leave tired but not destroyed. Recovery matters, especially if you're training multiple times a week.

Who Small Group Training Is For

It's for people who want coaching but don't need an hour of undivided attention. Maybe you've trained before and know the basics. Or you're new but you've got a workout buddy who keeps you honest. Either way, you want a program that's yours, not a cookie-cutter class.

We work with all ages. Young professionals who train before work. Parents who need a standing appointment or they'll never go. Retirees who want to stay strong without the gym intimidation. If you're over 55 and want programming tailored to your stage of life, our Senior Fitness Training sessions might be a better fit.

Groups usually form organically. Friends, coworkers, neighbours. If you don't have a crew yet, we can sometimes match you with others training at similar times. We serve Angus and nearby spots like Cookstown and Essa.

Pricing and How to Get Started

Sessions are priced per person, per session. The more people in your group, the lower the individual cost. Most groups of 3-4 people pay $30-40 each per session. Packages of 10 or 20 sessions get you a discount. We'll walk you through options when you book your intro.

First step is a free consult. We'll talk about your group's goals, schedule, and any limitations. Then we'll run a trial session so you can see if it's the right vibe. No pressure, no commitment. If it clicks, we'll lock in your weekly time slots and build your first month of programming.

Frequently asked questions

What's the ideal group size for small group training?

3-4 people is the sweet spot. You get enough energy and accountability without losing individual attention. We can work with pairs (partner training) or groups of 5 if schedules align, but 3-4 gives you the best balance of coaching and cost.

Do we all need to have the same fitness level?

Nope. We scale exercises so everyone's challenged at their level. If one person's squatting with a barbell and another's using dumbbells, that's fine. We design the program so you're working the same movement patterns but at different intensities. It keeps the session flowing without anyone waiting around.

Can we book small group training if we don't have a full group yet?

Yeah. Reach out and we'll see if there's another person or two training at a similar time who's looking for a group. Or you can start with just 2-3 people and add someone later if a friend wants in. We're flexible as long as the schedule works.
